The FROSTBORNE

"EMBRACE THE COLD AND SNUFF THE LIGHT."
Expansion: Cryonecrosis
Story Arc: The Lost Sun
Faction Archetype: Sacrifice Faction
Faction Color: Electric Blue
Description
Inhabitants of the dark side of a tidally locked world, the Frostborne are creatures created from the eternal winter. They view the sun as a distant, dying god and heat as a force that brings only decay and weakness, but it only grows closer. The Frostborne must push inward toward the "Twilight Zone" of their planet and extinguish the encroaching heat before they melt forever.
Faction Archetype
The FROSTBORNE's Faction Archetype is Sacrifice, allowing the FROSTBORNE to Field Scrap.
When an ally unit is scrapped, the FROSTBORNE faction immediately plays any of these effects:
- Conversion: Perform no effects, gain +1 additional Turn Point
- Freeze: Select any number of cells equivalent to the Trade value and apply the Freeze Status.
- Super Freeze: Select any deployed ally Frontline card that is currently under Frostguard. Permanently increase their Max HP by +1 and Damage by +1.
- Cold Snap: Select any deployed ally Frontline or Structure card. Clear any statuses on or adjacent to them (excluding Frozen, unless specified), and restore their Max HP.
Frozen/Frostbite/Frostguard Status

FROZEN
Inflicted onto cells for a duration of rounds. Frozen cells clear all other status effects, and cannot be moved through or deployed on by any faction except the FROSTBORNE or allies.
Frontline or Structure cards on a Frozen cell are inflicted with Frostbite, while FROSTBORNE or allies are inflicted with Frostguard instead.
FROSTBITE
Inflicted onto Frontline and Structure cards. Frostbite prevents the card from moving, attacking, or being interacted with in any way by its user for the duration of the status as well as other Frozen behaviors.
FROSTGUARD
Inflicted onto Frontline and Structure cards belonging to the FROSTBORNE or ally factions. Frostguard prevents the card from taking any damage for the duration of the status as well as other Frozen behaviors.
